I spoke with guy from Milzy Motorsports for 3100 engine. Please do not say get 3800 engine crap going on. It is not going happen. Anyway, he suggest to me that get both that would make my appearance look good.

3100/3400 65mm Billet Throttlebody

Made by TCE Manufacturing, this one-piece billet CNC'd masterpiece will be sure to give your 3100 or 3400 some more airflow.

Compared to a stock 52mm throttle body, the billet throttle bodies flow 42, 56, and 71% more respectively.
Compared to a stock 56mm throttle body, the billet throttle bodies flow 23, 35, and 47% more respectively

and

Ported and Polished 3100 Upper and Lower Intakes (w/ gaskets!)

Milzy Motorsports Ported and Polished Intakes are a great complement to our heads and cams or even a stock car. These intakes will allow your engine to breath better and allow for less restrictive airflow to see greater gains from our aftermarket heads and cams.
Our intakes unlike other companies, include all the AC Delco gaskets needed to install them. The throttle body port is opened up to 65mm for no extra charge to accomodate the larger size of aftermarket throttle bodies. The upper intake manifold is port-matched at the flange, and the intake runners are fully ported. The lower intake is port-matched at each end, and we port the entire length of the 10" long intake ports. The intake ports are not polished to a shine, but rather left with some texture to allow for better atomization of the air/fuel mixture

So both parts will help or hurt mpg? I don't know lot of them very well.

Thanks,
palsut

Modding will increase mileage, especially the Way you drive Pat. If your easy on the throttle then mileage will be easy on you. If you play Johnny HotRod then you pay like Johnny HotRod.

More airflow means more air in the engine, that means more fuel will be needed to keep an equal ratio. There's no way around that. You will reduce mpg.

Yet the easier it is for the engine to turn the wheels the better mileage you will get. SImple Physics.

Well looking at Milzy's site I would say the Billet throttle body would be a nice addition ,in looks and throttle responce it's nice but I doubt you would notice any fueel mileage difference.as far as the UIM & LIM do'nt waste your money on stock heads and cam I doubt you would see any difference.Chico(pops)

1st, I email him about powder coating on my engine since it is very dirty. So I figure powder coating will add my good look for car show. Keep that mind. I didn't ask him anything about going to "fast". All I told him about appearance look.

See example.

He response me back for $ blah blah blah. He suggest about Ported and Polished 3100 Upper and Lower Intakes (w/ gaskets!) and 3100/3400 65mm Billet Throttlebody for appearance look.

Billet Thorottlebody is actually look nice.

But it is bother me why he says ported and polished 3100 upper and lower intakes (w/gaskets!) is for appearance look? They are buried inside right? It doesn't make sense how it is "appearance look"? I can't see that and people can't see that.

Palsut why don't you score another engine, clean/sex it up, then swap them?

Billet Throttlebody & powder coating are more cheapest than 3800 engine swap. There is no way I would spend $1,000 to $3,000 for 3.8 engine so it won't happen. Do it yourself might be easy but I live apt. I don't have garage so powder coating and billet throttlebody is good to go for me.

Also, I need to get tranmission if I'm going get 3.8. I remember I read somewhere that it won't work on 3.1 tranmission. 3.8 engine + tranmission = $$$$. It is no big deal. It is not like I'm going to racing. No reason to get fast engine if I don't race.

I think a straight up tune on your car would do better in the mpg then those parts.
Much easier, quicker, and you won't need the elbow grease.
