Do you mean in the quarter mile, or in the stock top speed? Because I seriously doubt that car could beat a GTP in the quarter mile. [/b]
Good point, I agree.... [/b]
Do you see a single stock GTP on this fourm? Point made. GTP's will beat prelude any day of the week.

i had a 93 prelude vtec and that thing would walk all over my gtp when it was stock, i raced a few of them, destroyed em. the gtp gets the launch but the prelude will catch it. the prelude hit the rev limiter at 142, so top speed the gtp with limiter removed would have a higher top speed. the prelude also handled A LOT better. i would still rather have the gtp because i am a quarter mile guy and the gtp is cheaper to mod.

and to add, the prelude puts 195 hp at the crank, has a 5spd, revs to 7800, and weighs considerably less.
stock for stock, prelude wins, that is all i'm saying and that is the end of it

here is a race, the prelude has an h22 swap, same motor and trans as a 93-96 prelude
91 prelude h22 vs a pontiac gtp.
the prelude is making the same sound i just made about 20 min ago in the bathroom.

i have serious doubts that is a GTP, cause my car tears outta the hole a heckuva lot harder than that

I think it's a gen earlier as well. You can see the wiper on the passenger side the 97s the wipers hide. Plus I don't hear the supercharger.

Idk maybe my friend prelude isn't a vtec but i'll find out. Of course, he is kind of a big guy, maybe the weight advantage was gone lol. but i had no problem in my stock GTP against his 93 prelude.

the prelude was probably an si, vtec preludes in the 93-96 model year are pretty rare and are pretty expensive, it really doesn't matter, i hate these "this car is faster than that car" arguments, the only way to find out is to race.

i dont agree on that ...my buddies has a white grand am Gt with a cb antenna on it. it nothing like a chick car...the inside of these cars are more racier than ours.....Sure were faster, better lookin, and have bigger engines but we shoudl respect ga's becuase theyre like little brothers 2 us lol ..or sisters
