this may be a dumb question as i know if all thse bolts were missing something would fall off. but i beleive these may be the source of my tranny leak. if you look at the pictures the red circles are where it looks like its missing bolts or something and the blue circle is where the trranny fluid drops the the ground from which leads me to beleive its coming from the red circled holes. i plan to change the tranny pan and gasket before winter. i originally thoguht it was the pan gasket leaking but when my brakes started sqeaking i found this.any insight?

Thinking about it, I have the same problem. My mechanic said he did not see anything. I was like how do you miss the leak. He said I was fine and if anything was not loosing enough to make a difference. However I hope we can figure this out.

I don't have the car with me as of now. I will tomorrow. I will check out the bolts to see if there is something there or not. I can't make out where it comes from exactly, but I don't like any tranny issues arising.

I've got a bolt in the farthest left hole.

All others are empty.

I would have to remove my wheel to see what exactly that bolt is for.... Hopefully someone who is familiar with diff. swaps can educate us.

The others are empty on mine. Looking at your picture it looks like there was a bolt at some time in the farthest left. The bolt at the bottome near the red and blew circle is where mine collects a little liquid.

Your car was probably one of the many that slipped through the plant while many of the employees ditched work to go to the bar. Gotta love UAW workers.
