I'm getting my wizaired cai today. (ZZPerformance rocks by the way laugh ) I have a 97 gtp, and I've heard stories about how people didn't quite relocate it right, or its heald up with tape, or they drilled the wrong holes, etc.

Does anyone know of a tut for relocating the coolant bottle?

Or can anyone tell me, is it completely safe to drill into a strut tower?

Thanks guys.

Drill away. I would use some kind of sealant to protect the bare metal so you don't get corrosion. Dry fit your new bottle and mark the holes you need to drill. Becareful when you re route your coolant line you don't want that floppin around and getting caught in one of the belts.

Thanks man.

I got my zip ties all ready to go. I hope this operation is smoother than my maxima's.

Anything special about taking the cross-brace off? IE. If its holding parts together (or up), wouldn't I not be able to get it on as tight and thus not be functional? If I'm not making sense, I apologize.

I would use some self tapping screws to hold the bottle in place. As for the cross brace there is or are a couple clips holding wires inplace just pull those off Then undo the three bolts and your done. Keep in mind there are two different size bolts on the cross braces You'll know when you try and put the bolts in if you got the right ones or not.

Hey man,
I know installing that coolant tower sucks! You will probably have a problem with that big fuse box, it got in my way mad . The next problem is the lower bolt for the coolant tank. Make sure you drill the hole in the right place, positioning the tank down and tighting the bolt is really fun too. You might want a friend to help out. But, the end result is much better than the previous coolant tank. My cap started melting from the heat where it was. And I had to move it anyway to install my fenderwell intake so the PCM laid flat. So good luck with the install
