If the picture above was to be the new GTO it would have to have some sort of F-1 hood

Well, that and a nice full body spoiler...that'll be the Judge.

Improved handling....ooo, and a M112 S/C!

I always thought it would be cool to have the original firebird/GTO hood with the hump in the middle and the two smaller side scoops with lights in them...

Hmm Im not much of an overhead cam engine fan. Personally Id much rather have an LS1 or LS2 over the norhtstar anyday.

Put a ram air hood on there and an LS1 under the hood and that could have been the new GTO. I like what Austin said, but this is how I would do it:

1) Leave the Bonneville, but revise the rear end of the Grand Prix and front grills and have a 2-door model. Keep the GT, but drop the GTP name and rename it Comp-G.

2) Send the aussie GTO back down under

3) Use the two door Grand Prix and convert it to RWD with an LS1 under the hood and make that the new GTO.

Yeah, I would have to agree, ever since the GTO came out I have thought it looked like a larger version of a civic. The only GTO I like that I saw was the Judge concept

As far as the bonny goes, those are nice cars, they look good, except at night, I hate how close the foglights are in the grille, and yeah, I definately would have liked to have seen the GP acquire an F.1 hood and begome the GTO, I guess there the ones who get the big bucks,

They say if you cant beat them, join them, I think I will just beat them and buy an 04 in a couple years and then put an 03 rear end on it thumbsup

Well interesting comments on the 04. i have an 04 and iam very dissappointed that i lost some leg room in the 04 compared to the 01 i had. i am 6ft 6in tall and i just took a 400 mile trip in my 04 and after 2 hours driving my legs started to hurt because i could not strech out like i could in the 01. this is really the only thing on my 04 that really bothers me.

You need to get the Leg Mod. I gut the, and stump the,

I tell you what..If they had not re-vamped the GP I would not own one right now.

I like the new lines.

The judge concept looks hot. I doubt they will make it though....at least like that anyway.

They ruined it in my opinion, not just because I own a 00 but the body style makes me no even care what the inside looks like. That bogus front end with way to big grills and funky cat eye headlights. the curves....well there is no curves, thier all sharp angles and that super hight rear end looks just awfull like you could put any cars decale on it. I know they probably offer the newest power and do dads...but I just can't get past the looks to even consider it. Since they insisted on ruining the GP, I always thought the 97-03 style is just awsome and should have contiued with maybe the new GTO. Wouldn't that be awsome. V-8 with RWD and a F-1 hood and GTO emblems. Instead they took what looks like a ford focus and slapped GTO on it. Oh well I guess I'm bias. So.....am I loosing it????
Since everyone is due their opinion....
1. the new GP style is cleaner.
2. Looks less like any other family sedan than many years in the past. Looks to me more like GM/Pontiac took more to the heart than the "market"
3. The inside is 100% better.
4.The big grills are GMs way to differentiate themselves from BMW! The GP no longer looks like a BMW from the front end that is worth 1,000,000% to me!
5.the cats eye headlights are a bit ackward but sets off the wide stance dual color fog lights.
6.the rear is not super high - no higher -- just the cab-forward design idea....more body in the rear -- same trunk space
7. yes you are loosing it...change is good and healthy. Monotony is for lemmings

And I know feel is the most important thing but...........

here are the numbers....

I will list the 97-03 then the 04

Front head room 38.3 - 38.8
Front Leg room 42.4 - 42.2
Leg Room Rear 35.8 - 36.2
Head room rear 36.7 - 36.2

I do not feel like listing all the specs but if you llok at them here...

http://www.new-cars.com/2003/pontiac/pontiac-grandprix-specs.html#interior

and here

http://www.new-cars.com/2003/pontiac/pontiac-grandprix-specs.html#interior

You will see there is not much difference in any aspect of the vehicle dimensions...

I loved the look of the redesigned 97-03 but times change and so do I :p

well yes everyone has an opinion and I stick by mine, but this will be proven a fact in years to come. like the old vetts and camaro's the 97-03 GP will be a classics and always restored. I don't think the new style will get that status.
I hear ya Jizz about times change and moveing on but only time will tell if moveing on was the right move for the 04 owners. If a person is the type that always say I got to have the newest thing out there than it won't take much to make them happy. before 97 I and I suspect not many other noticed the GP with the girlls below and the flat above...yuke...I just got the feeling that they really nailed it with the 97-03 and was a little to soon to change.

I think you all have lost your mind the new grand prix is worlds better than the old one. I have had 2 of the old ones and the new one has far less issues like the old one did. Except my faulty horn button window seals and headlights.
This is my opinion.
