No... Just no.
Try Summit race mufflers. There is next to nothing to them so they may give you the sound your want. Or better the question ask is do want SOUND or NOISE? NOISE is what you will get with a straight pipe set-up. SOUND will accomplished with mufflers.

I'll have to echo what 4drgt says...there is absolutely NO way you will ever get that low rumble from this engine. Your car and your money but I can tell you this...I went thru 3 whole different exhaust systems before I finally found a setup that gives a nice tone and doesnt make my teeth fillings come out. NONONONO! You will never get a V8 sound from the V6. If anyone on here knows about exhaust, its Thunderbat, listen and learn...

FM or MF or summit muffs are about your BEST bet thats why everyone uses them because they are about the only thing that sounds good

No mufflers will sound "good". the quieter the better.

Yes I am running MF's on my GP right now and I like the sound I run a 3" DP To a cutout 3" to a Y (no cat or res.) from the Y is 2 1/2" to the Muffs ,This setup is the best I've heard on my car I had stock then stock pipes and res and cherry bomb turbos (this setup actually sounded pretty good) then I ran custom piping 3" to 2 1/2" no cat or res. and FM's sounded loud and raspy I then added a cherry bomb glasspack for a re. this was a little better ,then I switched the FM's for MF's it was pretty quiet so I removed the glasspackand that's where I am now I may try the stock muffs off my GTO and seewhat they sound like.Chico(pops)

I would suggest the Magniflow with a res. almost as quiet as stock(slight rumble) but the weight of the MF's is about 1/2 that of stock.
