He wont listen anyway. Just let him rant to the air and try to return the thread to it's original direction.

Only reason I did it cuz Palsut put that picture up and flaunted how the 3.1 has it at the top, and I know it gets under his skin when someone brings it up. No harm ment by it.

It has nothing to do with 3100/3800 battle. I'm pretty much over with it. I know you would agree with that.
This thread is about steering location. My 3100 engine steering wheel location is on top of engine. 3800 supercharger engine is on buried behind. My question is where is GT N/A supercharger engine steering location that I'm curious? Then someone answer. I read. I'm about ready to tell them who answer my question to thank you until ifitwasnt4u kill this thread for stupid joke.
I mean come on it is over already. 2008 is official over. This is 2009. Move on guys. I'm pretty move on. If you want to make other joke then PM me. Please don't kill other people's thread. This thread is all about steering wheel location. I'm staying this topic.

Guys, who knows, maybe someone with a 3100 with the same question will stumble across this thread in the future and Palsut's post will help them out.
I keep forgetting to check the fluid level before I drive, so I have to let the engine cool, but since it doesn't always make that noise, could it be something other than the fluid level? It does it occasionally when I come to a stop, but it's usually when I turn, if it does it.

yep. 3400 and smaller were the 60* V6, while 3800-4300 were the 90* V6.

I would say it is the power steering. u do have to wait for the engine to cool. it sucks how its under the heater hose. and next to the rear manifold

Guys, who knows, maybe someone with a 3100 with the same question will stumble across this thread in the future and Palsut's post will help them out. I would help for 3100 owners but I can help to anything like we have same w-body example remove/install hood, bumper, and more etc. stuffs. I'm pretty good for all appearance stuffs. I don't know lot of 3800 engine. I normally check my steering fluid to see how much fluid left I get. I don't know how about you (n/a 3800 & supercharger 3800). Reach all way to see how much fluid you get? Or what about remove right front tire and right fender liner to check fluid? Kind stupid idea but it could work I think?

Its easier to just go from the top and unscrew it. It has a little plastic piece the goes into the reservoir that measures the fluid level.

When you turn, you pump fluid into the hydraulics - if it makes the noise during a turn but not always when the wheel is centered, your fluid is low.

It was definitely low. I refilled it today, and I saw fluid spots on the ground where I parked at work. Gotta keep an eye on it, because it looks like I have a leak.
I know you can get fluid that is supposed to stop the leak - has anyone used it? What kind of results did you see?
