I think the whole thing that chaps my butt over this kind ofthing is that shops get a jobber price already...if you want to charge us retail thats fine...so the part cost should be no more than what I go pay over-the-counter...but when part cost $150 retail and I get the shaft for $275 BEFORE labor is ever added in then that makes me pretty darn raw. mad

I've been to a shop with my buddy and they said to replace a hub, tie rods ends and one inner tie rod was around $1200. We talked to the guy and B.S. him saying we UCF students blah blah blah, and he lowered it to $900 and change. That is why I do @$#% myself or go to my mechanic guys who hook me up like crazy.

Haha, wow. 900 for that is still crazy.

That's like 500 dollars for labor unless they shaft you on parts prices, like they probably did.
