Hi,

Is there any way to find out what code is tripping off the check engine light? When I had a dodge neon there was a way by cycling the ignition, then the check engine would flash representing numbers (code), is it possible for me to do this with a 2003 GTP, as long as I know what the codes mean?

I'm pretty sure most Autozone/Advance Auto Parts type places will scan the codes for free and tell you what comes up as the reason

Hello,

The only way to scan for DTC's is with a scanner.
Check with your local Auto parts "big chain" stores. They usually offer free scanning.
Be sure to write down the code, and come back to us before making any decisions. Sometimes the information given by the guy behind the counter is not entirely accurate.

Later now,
Clint

Get it scanned by Autozone, then check what it actually means here:

Those geniuses don't always get it perfectly right. We can help you out if you post the number, those codes are pretty ambiguous.
