My car has a heavy clunk when shifting from park to reverse or drive. It's a '97 Grand Prix with 115k. Has anyone had a similiar problem? confused

What is your idle RPM? Do you notice this when the transmission is shifting from 1-2 or 2-3, and so forth? We need a bit more information to be able to help you.
