My car suddenly developed a strange electrical problem. My power windows will not work, my power mirrors will not move, the radio is dead. The blower fan runs on setting 1-4 but dies on 5. When I switch the fan from 4 to 5 the fan cuts out and the radio turns on for about a second and then cuts out too. I should not that I am in Canada and it is freaking cold out ( -20C ) so it may be something with the battery and/or alternator. Unfortunately, my garage is freaking cold too so just letting it warm up has not been enough. I can drive it well enough, but the lack of a radio is driving me nuts. Anyone have any thoughts on what to check? It's been too bleepin' cold out for me to check all the fuses under the hood just yet. The radio is getting some power as the dashboard lights are illuminated and the radio is keeping time and its stations. (I can tell this by that one second of life it gets when I switch the fan from 4 to 5.)
