My 97 GTP has a couple problems I need to resolve. I replaced the battery, and now my fuel gage is trippin. Do I need to take it and have the computer reset? The other thing is my passenger side windshield wiper doesnt work anymore. It started out going out by just barely moving up the windsheild then eventually it would stop working all together, now it doesn't even move. What is wrong with it?

I had the same windshield wiper problem with the pass. side...All I did was take the little cap off of wear it pivots and there's a bolt...Tightened the bolt, put the cap back on and it worked fine!

The computer gets reset whenever it is disconnected from the battery. Sounds like you have some other problem with your fuel sending unit.

Yeah, just tighten the nut underneath the round plastic cover at the base of the wiper arm. But, make sure the wipers are in the "park" position first, and then move the arm to the bottom of the windshield where it would normally be when off, and then tighten the nut.

try running some fuel system cleaner, you know the stuff, any brand, through your tank. There's trouble with that MMTE fuel additive the oil companies put in during refinement. it coats the variable resistor for the sending unit, but usually, if you change fuel brands, run the cleaner, and maybe about 3 tanks of high grade, you're good to go. or else its the sender
