My HUD display acts haunted sometimes it works great, others it will come on and fade in and out on its own. Any body know a solution to this short of replacing the entire control

Welcome to the board.

There is an easy fix for the life of me I can't find it right now. But you have to re-solder some connections and it will work fine again. I thought I had a link on my web page.

OK I found a link for ya

Hello,

I've made this repair on a few cars now.
The HUD cover pops up...No need to pull the dash face off.
First pull out the sensor bezel, and remove the sensors.
Then starting at the front edge closest to the steering wheel, start pulling up,and out on the cover. It goes all the way across. Try to keep track of the clips, they don't always come off with the cover.
Just be gentle, and use even pressure to keep from cracking the thin spots.

Later now,
Clint
