If I have Intense reflash the PCM with the new settings while its still in the car, will I still need a CASE learn?
How much does the dealer usually charge?

If you have a 98 on, it is recommedned that you get a CASE learn done. On the 97's there is a module that you just swap over. This module contains the information that a CASE learn does, so you don't have to get a CASE learn done on a 97.
On a side note... I've been going about 9 months without a CASE learn, and I'm not really planning on getting it done.

It's best to get a case learn to synch everything.
Some people have gone without one and don't get an SES code but others have. It's a hit or miss and up to you.

The stealership that did mine, said it doesn't really need to be done, but i've heard both sides. Then they did mine free so I wasn't complaining

It let's the PCM know where the crank shaft is, also known as a crank shaft positioning, or something like that.

It had to be a stealership. This is what you do. When you go in to a stealership, tell them that you have an aftermarket PCM and for them NOT to re-flash the PCM just a case learn. Also, have them write it down on the invoice clearly so that you can take legal claim if they do re-flash the PCM. Otherwise, find someone else in your area with the knowledge to do it for you.

My question is more-so in reference to the fact the PCM was going to stay in the car and wasn't going to be removed. It looks like that is not a factor.
Looks like its a matter of the PCM being re-programmed, regardless if power was still going to it or not.
Was deciding if I should drive to intense to flash or install a DHP. Looks like a case learn is eminent regardless.
I rather have everything sync up just for the sake of efficiency.

FYI, There was a deal from DHP that if you wanted to send them your IPCM, they would convert it to DHP for $75. Not sure if it's still in effect.
