Hi there, 1st time here I have recently purloined a friggin sweet 02 black GT from my local carmax (27k miles plus a real bargain) whn it rains hard here in Atlanta i get water in the trunk it looks like its coming from off the rear windshshield and straight onto the trunk. The weather stripping looks to be in gret condition so what gives??? BTW love this site!!! Just stumbled by today and signed up :p

Make sure the weather stripping is seating in correctly, and go along to entire weather stripping to make sure there is no gaps or anything like that, also check the rear window to make sure its not leaking into the car and through the back dash into the trunk that way and oh yeah WELCOME!

I had this problem when I first got my car. For me, it was the weatherstripping along the rear spoiler. It was allowing water under it.
My car was under warranty at the time, so I had them fix it. But i need to raise my spoiler. If you do a search on here, you will see how to raise your spoiler. This gets a better seal around the bolt holes (if you silicone it) and will allow water to pass under the spoiler.

Get with a friend you trust (you'll understand in a minute). Get in the trunk with a flashlight and have him close you in the trunk (see, I told you you'd understand why I said "a friend you trust"). Have him run water down the back glass while you're in the trunk. Look around to see if you can see water leaking in anywhere. If you can't see any water coming in, have your trusted friend run water down the trunk and around the rear spoiler real good. See if any water is leaking in from the spoiler. After doing this you should have a pretty good idea where the water is coming in from. Welcome to this site. We tend to be very helpful with little to no drama. Please be kind and refrain from using profanity and keep your post clean.
