i think im gonna go with magnaflow mufflers, a local exhaust shop quoted me at 125 per muffler including parts and installation.

overpriced? reasonable?

well i dont know what the magnaflows cost but instalation shouldent cost more than 50-75 for both all together.

Get your muffs off of Ebay. You should be able to find them for 1/2 of what the shop is charging.

replace old muffs with no muffs. weld on exhaust outlets? old outlets? reuse stock y-pipe? and the muff shop will not talk you into new y-pipe since your old one is rusty? ya, i've been there before. you will have a new catback system before you leave the shop.

I got my whole catback done for $275 including tips. I agree with Herc, pick up the muffs elsewhere and just have em welded in. It shouldn't be any more than $50 to have em welded in, I wouldn't think.
