I just noticed I have a driving light out...sounds like a perfect time to upgrade. I noticed the Angel Eyes kit from PFYC is a generic kit and not a direct replacement.

any suggestions? new lights or just bulbs?

I'd say Interesting! I just have some blue tinted bulbs in there. I enjoy them with the Sylvania Silverstars in the headlights.

I say upgrade. Cheaper the HIDs and it will improve your light output.

Besides look close at the reflectors. I noticed on mine the other day the silver is flaking off bad.

i wonder if these can be fixed by taking them apart and sanding/repainting the inside. they sell "chrome" paint at walmart that might do the job.

Pilot brand foglights. $40, easy to install, and they're brighter than my headlights with Silver Stars.

I wouldn't even try to recoat those reflectors. As for that "chrome" paint it is no where near a chrome look.

Where did you pick up the Pilot fog lights? I need to replace both my headlights (fogged lenses - going the eBay route mentioned in a few of the forums here) but want to replace the fogs as well to get some additional light up front. If the Pilots are a good replacement and easy to install I may just go for them.

Thanks.

AutoZone. I installed them in less than an hour when I got home. I just attached them to the stock brackets and spliced into the stock wires (really shouldn't, but I haven't had a burnt wire yet).

Oh, so the installation suggests replacing the wiring harness with the Pilot fogs? I'm not sure if I want to tackle that job right now since I can't afford to have the car out of commission for very long.

Any aftermarket it is suggested to replace the wiring. The stock wiring is made for 35w bulbs, any aftermarket will be around 55w.

rook, you don't have the number of the pilots do you? also, you're right, on th rewire of them. I luckily only melted the clear outer part of my fogs when I put 55W replacements in
