I did it. I just placed my order for a PowrTuner through WBS. I wonder how long the wait will be... In the mean time, anyone have any advice on how to expand my tuning journey, and what should be done first?

Maybe hit up someone who has one and go for some scans and maybe a tune to see how some features work. The DHP forum, I believe there a bunch of sticky's (clubgp member said) that you should read twice. And I have my buddy scan and tune mine, but I usually hit up clubgp PCM/tune section to read and sections alike. Check out the few threads on here also. Don't do a full write!! Change little by little. Learn how to customize your screen so when you open each time you aren't wasting time deciding what parameters to use, moving them around the screen, and try color coding the parameter as in green is in the good area for that parameter and red for like KR whenever it shows up above 0.1.

Definitely request access to the DHP forum, at www.powrtuner.com, and read Webracin's tuner guide.

Basically just read through the DHP forum and you will learn a ton. That tuner guide isn't bad, but it leaves a lot to be desired.

One change at a time!

My laptop has Vista, but I can borrow my sister's with XP if I get desperate. Of course, neither have a serial port.

as far as I know, the powertuner software is not compatible with vista at all, and I havnt heard anything saying they plan on making it compatible anytime soon. You wont be able to tune your car at all with a vista laptop from what I have heard so I would plan on using your sisters pc quite a bit

HAD it working... three days, logging scans didn't work, and I didn't try a partial write. Then I started getting a database access error, finally gave up and installed a virtual machine with XP on it, and it works great
