Hello All,
I will be attempting to put a new ignition switch in my 97 gtp, on sunday. I am a little short on cash. Its $130 for AC Delco one, or $70 of Off brand.
Should I spend the extra $60, or has anyone had good luck with the off brands and which one?

Thanks

The off brand stuff will be fine. Ive Been using the O'reilly special ign. switch for 4 months now and no problems. Came with a lifetime warranty too.

Column shift means the shift lever is on the steering column. With console means the shift lever is in the center console, like this: Shifter Knob
If you have a GTP with column shift, I'd like to see pics of it.. wink

Hello All,
I have a breaking development. My dad has my car the last few days, and this morning he indicated it will not start, and jumped it the old fashion way. (not through the cigeratte lighter). He indicated it started right up. Did he bypass the ignition switch?, or does it look like lead problems on the starter?

Thanks

I bet it's another problem: corrosion on the positive batter terminal. Look into that.
