I know its not all about Grand prixs BUT people on this forum are the most knloedgable I have found yet so I guessed I might as well ask you about my dads Impala troubles and the wierd steering problem in my SE.
On my dads impala the ABS light will randomly come on and then every time you tap the brake they pulse(abs is doing it I know) There is no reason for the abs to go on so I am wondering do you think it's the solenoids or the speed sensors?
Now the Impala and the Grand Prix do this one. When I turn the wheel at certain pints you hear and feel a clunk what could this be? The impala has always done it but I know it shouldn't and the Grand Prix has just started doing it.
Thanks for all the help. thumbsup

the clunking noise could be the wheel bearings ... or check and see if anything is rubbing ...

doubt the wheel bearings.... would be complaining of vibration too. my idea is outer tie rod ends or the lower ball joints... antoher issue could be the sway bar bushings.

as for the ABS i would say one of the speed sensors

Clunking when turning: stopped or moving? Could also be cv axles or strut mounts.

Grand Prix has that clunking moveing or stopped but it only happens every so often. The impalas happens all the time but only in certain spots and when moving. I know it's not the cv joint I have had that happen on other cars and it wasn't like this so I have no idea.

Wheel speed sensor is in the Hub u will need a comp to figure out which one is causing the ABS to pulse

Well it seems that despite all the work I have done to get the Grand Prix working right and looking good my dad has decided to trade in the better looking/working car along with our Rondezvous to get two Blazers (parents love blazers err). So more or less I now have to take off my few mods and move them to a Impala 9c1 with the L36, 210,000km and the afore mentioned problems.
