2 weeks ago my check engine light came on and my car started to idle kind of rough, i got the code checked and it was a misfire on cylinder 6, i replaced plugs, wires, coil, injector and intake manifold and gaskets, after all of that it still does it. Are these cars know to blow the lower intake manifold gasket?

How many miles are on your car? if its up there it could be an internal engine part going just like my engine did as well. Or it could be somthing much more simple like the ignition module going bad.

yes, these cars are known to blow the LIM gaskets. we upgrade to a newer type of gasket, no more plastic.

Have you pulled the valve cover off to see if everything in the valvetrain looks like its ok? It kinda sucks that it is #6 because getting to the back of the motor is tougher than if it was #'s 1,3, or 5.

Here's a link with info on the LIM gaskets: LIM Gaskets They're available from ZZP or the GM dealer.

Sounds like you've covered all the major avenues except for the head gasket.

I'd run a compression test on all the cylinders to verify.

Its only got 72000 on it, ive done a compression test and everything and there are no signs of coolant being burned or leaking and i was told by several mechanics to try to ignition control module next, thanks for the help

Have you tried swapping a plug wire to see if the misfire moves cylinders? If so it's probably the coil pack

Ignition module shouldn't be the issue. From my experience, they either work or they don't.

just like he said...

Next step I guess would be check fuel related items... since you've replaced everything related to spark. Perhaps a clogged or dirty injector?

Like others mentioned you might want to try a compression test

I had this problem a few months back. I did most of the things you did. It eventually went away one day. Not sure the problem nor the fix. I believe I changed some wires around and a month or so later got new plugs.
