My low coolant light came on in my 3.8 GP so I pulled out the battery to put a new low coolant level module in the radiator and after I finished I noticed that my information center does not read correct on the mileage per tank full?It climbs very slowly up to a acurate reading and then varies from there? Also ,on a different subject the digital readout (clock) on my stereo kept fading out and now its black, is there bulbs in there? Thanks for any help guys.

Mileeage per tank is dependent on your current gas mileage. It will vary until you've driven it enough to restore an accurate average mpg into the DIC.

x2. its going to give you the instant readout, and vary for a while before it gets back to normal

Thanks for all your help, the radio light help was very helpful. Its been 2 weeks and my mileage information still isnt reading correctly. Do you think that big bundle of wires going around the battery that you have to stretch to get the battery in and out would have affected anything? Thanks again

we answered your question on the mileage already. Can you describe what its doing any better?

That wiring around the battery is either engine harness (runs across the crossbrace to the radiator) or headlights (run behind the battery into the fender). Neither have a bearing on the DIC itself, which has all it's wiring inside the dash.

Try reseting it with the DIC button and see if it corrects itself.
