u dont need to take the caliper off to paint it. i used dupli-colors brush on paint and it works well. I like it.

clean them up real good, spray it with the brake cleaner, and tape off what you dont want to be sprayed

the brush on kit comes with brake cleaner as well, just use a wire brush or some sand paper to get the flaking parts off and then brake cleaner it and then brush on.

Prep is the key when painting your calipers. Make sure you get the calipers clean clean clean or they'll chip.

Don't underestimate the prep. Spend hours on it, it will pay off.
Also the duplicolor brush-on kit looks great and stays looking great for a long time.

wire brush on a drill works great for cleaning them up. Just be sure to wear goggles or safety glasses. You like your eyes, right?

Yea but don't you have to bleed the brakes?

Leave the lines attached. Remove them like you are changing the pads. Just use some wire to support the wieght.

I used a dremmel tool with a wire brush attachment and some brake cleaner and it worked pretty good for me. Just be sure to have several extra wire wheels for the dremmel as they dont last too long. I left them attached to the brake lines and just taped everything off that didnt get paint, to include the weel wells. then I used Dupli Color primer and paint in a spray can. Just be patient and use several thin coats and wait a few minutes between coats and it will look fine. I did mine about a year and half ago and they still look great.
