Finally a 15x8 wheel that fits! For any of you out there looking for a lightweight 15in wheel for drag radial or possibly a set of slicks, these may be your answer. The Summit Sport wheel is basically a knock-off of the Weld Draglite but with some important differences. This is a one piece cast aluminum wheel that uses a conical seat lugnut vs the shank style used by Weld. This is still a polished aluminum with a lip on both sides, and even though the clearance between the caliper bracket and the back of the wheel could probably be measured with feeler guage, it still clears with no scraping. Full turns lock to lock show plenty of tie rod clearance as well as radial clearance for the caliper itself. I'm sure there isnt enough room for the larger F-body brakes but I hadnt planned on that upgrade anyway. Below is link to the page with the three styles of Summit brand wheels. I would assume the other two styles would have similar clearance but I dont know that for sure. Summit was very workable when I called them tho, allowing you to dry fit a wheel and return it if it doesnt fit for just shipping charges and no restocking fee.

Summit Wheels

Dont hold back...tell us how you feel lol

It was either the Sport or the Star wheel and out of those two I think the Sport wheel has more of the racing image to it. My fallback was the black Santa Cruz wheel from AR which I know will fit. Ever since 01GT installed those black rims on his car I think the Santa Cruz wheels would look pretty good but I like the deeper dish look of the 8in wheel over the 7in. I think the white letter tires will add some flash as well. I'm just glad I found these because they are a great alternative for anyone thinking of getting Welds for racing...these are just as good, weigh only slightly more and are much cheaper.

Other than a better ride I guess .. why are you going with 15 inches ?! That's awfully small!!

The ride is the only reason.

It needs fat slicks, now.

I will most likely be selling the Bullitts...let me repeat "selling" and not giving away lol

As soon as I get the other wheel/tire set on the car I'll post pics (of course) and officially put the Bullitts up for sale. A word of caution to any would be buyers, I dont think shipping will be cheap. Most of these lightweight wheels that I have been returning have cost about $15 per box. The heavier wheel+tire may well be an oversized box so I'm not sure what the cost will be. If anyone else has shipped a set like this and knows the ballpark cost figure please chime in and share how much and which carrier you used.
