Hey guys im looking for some info about cai's. Does anyone know which one would be a better buy for my 01 GTP? I don't have any other mods so im looking to start with a cold air intake. Ive done some research and the K&N intake looks more like a short ram intake instead of a cai. I havent read much about the Wizaired intake but it looks like it would actually pull cold air like a cai is suppeosed to do. Any info would be great.

they are bolth equaly expensive and uneeded when you can make one for 1/4 of the cost , it might now look as pretty but it works just as good

All comes down to whatever you want. Unless your running one mean setup I doubt it wouldnt even matter. I run the K&N CAI and it works fine, ive seen custom jobs and they all do the same dang thing.

I use the WizAired. It doesnt look as professional as the K&N, but either one works just as well.

I'd agree too .. even gutting your airbox is good.
The hardware store intake is the way to go!

Is the K&N intake a cold air intake or is it more or less a short ram intake? Why doesnt the wizaired seal air out from under the hood? Isnt that what it was designed to do? How do you build a hardware store intake?
