have not worked on a grand prix with drum brakes. helped friend check his taurus rear brakes this weekend. drum was stuck to hub. took off spindle nut and drum pulled right off. easy. but it seems hub flange and wheel studs were stuck to the inside of the drum. is a grand prix rear brake drum the same setup? seems all my FWD cars have 4 wheels discs.

All 97+ GPs have four wheel disc brakes. However keep in mind on the rear the emergency brake is drum. So you may have a little issue getting the rear disc off.

yes the drums can get a lip on the inside from the shoe wear. but in this case, the drum slide right off when the spindle nut was loosened. i am sure the drum was stuck to the hub flange face.
