Hello Everyone, I am new to the site, this is my first post. I have tried searching for my problem but I am not great with the terms so I may have missed it. Here goes..

I have a 2003 Grand Prix GTP and the dash indicator (the one that shows the info like miles per gallon or the turbo gauage for when the turbo is engauged)goes off for a few seconds and then comes back on. It use to be intermitten but now it seems like I can never get the indicator on again. Also, my heater/ac fan does not work when the lights are off as well. Any ideas?

First off: Welcome to the site! Where abouts are you on Long Island?

Second: It sounds like it might be the ignition switch that is the culprit of all of your issues.

And Third: You don't have a turbo unless you've done some extensive modification smile . Our cars come stock with a supercharger.

Agree may be ignition switch. FYI, what you are calling the dash indicator is more correctly called the Driver Information Center (DIC).

Ignition switches do really funky things when they go bad.

Welcome and I'm on the same page as everyone else. Sounds like an ignition switch.

ok...i stand corrected...it is supercharged...i called it dash indicator cause I was not sure what to call it, DIC is much more correct..thanks for the correction and the ideas, I think I will investigate the ignition switch...

BTW - Thanks Ordonez 1307 for the welcome I am from Middle Island (near Port Jeff).

Ok Everyone, Ready for some more info...
I was out checking the ignition switch last night when I also noticed that my DRL went off when I turned my Heater/AC Fan on. Also turned on my seat heater to see if that worked. When I turned my seat heater on, after a few seconds I heard a noise. A scratching should, kinda like a short. So I turned off the seat heater and the noise went away. Once I realized a there might be a short in the seat heater I unpluged it and all my problems went away. The DIC is back, heater/AC fan working everything is good. The only part that didnt make sense was that I then plugged the seat heater back in and everything is still working.
