After I start my car in the morning or any time the car is cold, when I rev the engine or simply start driving, it sound like there is coolant or some other fluid running behind what sounds like the air conditioning controls and the radio. I searched the web site and didn't find anything related to this. I'm not sure if it's a problem, I really just want to know what it is. I noticed the sound last week, but it could have been doing this for all 5 years I've had the car.

Check your coolant level. It may need topped off and burped. The heat exchanger for the heater is back there some where and your probably hearing the coolant running through the exchanger.

The heater core is the only thing coolant related back there. If your heat and everything still works fine, I wouldn't worry about it.

But as Herc said, check the coolant level.

The coolant was a little low. I'm in the process right now of flushing my coolant. I bought one of those Peak flush kits. It says I need to install the flush tee on the heater inlet hose. When looking at the engine, is that the hose closest to the center of the engine, behind the alternator? And the one closest to the passenger fender, is that the hose that goes into the water pump?

Thank You. Hopefully this flush kit along with Peek's Performance Super Cleaner and Flush gets most of the sh!t out of my coolant system that good old dexcool has left behind.
