so i disconnected the battery the other day andd i think i forgot the key in the ignition and now the dic wont turn on but everything else does including tcs lights

fuses? relays? ground connections? lamps?

Did you..check the fuses with the key on, and using a test light?

I replaced all three bulbs in mine just last week. Pull the dash panel off ever so gently. there are two screws holding the DIC in the dash, remove it and unplug it and take it apart and you will see the socket/bulb holders, they twist to remove, but the bulbs may be a little diffcult to remove from the holders as the wire leads on the bulbs turn into barbs holding them in there pretty good. I used a small! 1/8" wide screwdriver to gently pry them out of the sockets/holder. You might be able to go rambo and just break the bulbs and remove the remains, but the holders look fragile...

i doubt all the bulbs just suddenly burnt out im gonna check other stuff first

does anyone know of a possible writeup on how to change the DIC bulb or how to get it out of the dash? i feal like i need to fix this before i order my downpipe

alright so i was snowboarding and gave myself lacerations to my spleen and liver.So now i have time to work on the car. is it possible the DIC has a switch that when reconnecting the battery, and the key was turned on due to them being locked in the car,
and the lights and electronics flickering on and off caused it to kind of shutdown and all i have to do is reset the battery?
got this as a suggestion that this could be the problem and want to try everything before tearing it apart

Be prepared to fork out some cash for the replacement bulbs from the dealer. I can't remember how much mine were, but I do remember they were a bit outrageous.

so no chance its what was suggested to me?
also i got 2 packs of 2 light bulbs for like 9 bucks thats not too bad
