Well ... dunno what I did wrong, changed my S/C, cause I was told to. Then find out, it was probably only the coupler, finally manned up and said to myself "FINE" ... next time get more info 'fore working on car.

Now the car does not start, and I am in a state of bewiderment as to why.

I did nothing out of the ordinary, wires, hoses have been checked, rechecked, double checked, and even checked again. Plugs are fine, car turns over fine, but just will not catch, You know ... crank crank cough cough, crank crank cough cough... over and over again.... any place I should check...????

My computer requires the engine to be running, I'm going to check the fuel pump fuse though, did not think of that...

I have a mechanic friend coming over tonight to have a look at it, but if it is the fuse, then I do not have to take him out of his busy schedule, so thanks for the suggestion "01 GT" smile

It ran perfectly prior to the S/C swapping... wish I would of not of done that now, oh well :-|
It is obvious that I broke or knocked something... wonder about the injectors... but I did dip them in gas and brush em clean before re-attaching to the rail...

You need to look into more things before getting too upset. I know it sucks it's not cranking but check a few things and see if it is.

Is the fuel pump working, turn the key on and look under your hood around the brake booster cap and there is a green screw on cap there. Take that off and push it in and see if you have pressure and if so, gas should shoot out since the pump is pumping.

Check the fuel pump relay. You can do the mod to the relay or jump it and see if that gets you going.

Check all your fuses in the car and under the hood!

relay link

I thought I had a better link with pictures or there was something in the FAQ on here but I don't see it here or in my favorites. Maybe somebody else could help you out because when I pulled my OE relay, it had no markings on it!

When is the last time the fuel filter was changed.

Take off a plug wire and see if you are getting spark!

Just do some simple things and you should be able to narrow it down.

Sounds like you need to actually start diagnosing.

Check fuel, spark, compression. They sell tools and gauges to test all three.

Well finally got her started, and to my dismay... White smoke barrelling out of both tail pipes with the sweet smell of money coming out of the tailpipes. Head gasket I assume!

Did you forget the two yellow orings under the blower? Did you remove the lower intake as well?

There were o rings, I just left them on, no did not touch the intake.
While it is running, it makes a racket, so guess it was not the S/C at all. I assujme.

I cannot find a descent price for a replacement motor out here in Southern Ontario. So found another GTP in Hamilton for 1500 bucks, was looked after, so guess I will own a black GTP instead of a silvermist frown

Do a compression check and make sure it's a head gasket first. This whole ordeal is perplexing and I feel like were missing part of the story.

You are not allowing you to help you at all. It's frustrating trying to help diagnose it.

Go ahead and buy a new car and waste your money, but it sounds like you're not being smart about this.
