I'm not sure how fast the cooling fans should spin on a 02 GP with a 3.8.Do the fans just stop working when they go bad or could they slow down as they get older? When they are on it just seems to me that they are only spinning bout half speed of normal.I cant hear them come on when they do engauge and when I put my hand behind them they dont seem to move alot of air. Should these things roar when there spinning? I did notice on a 100 degree day this past summer that my temp light came on sitting at an idle but as soon as I moved the temp went back to normal. I believe that I could stop the fans with my hands if I tried but I am not going to do that.

Sounds like a bad fan to me.
