You'll have to find that out for yourself, we can't tell you because:
-We don't know.
-We have never seen your vehicle.

It might have to come down to you putting a multimeter on the terminals and start pulling fuses in the fuse box to find what circuit is pulling. I'd disconnect the Zex and radar detector just in case and see how it goes. That will either show you that it's them or something else.

How did you fix it the first time? Sounds to me like you have a faulty alternator.

Once you get the car started put a meter on the leads and see how many volts the alt is putting out. If it's over 13 you're fine. An amp meter will tell you if you have a draw on your electrical system.

get a multimeter and leave the car off and stick the leads on the battery and see if there is a draw on the battery and if there is a draw, then let us know from there.

My bet is on the battery..... I had a Delco that still had a green eye that was giving me the same symptoms. I installed a new battery and haven't woke up to a dead battery since.

Be sure not to leave any power adapters (cell phone chargers, etc.) plugged into the cigarette lighter with the car off; I had to break my cousin of this habit after replacing her battery last year. Sometimes it's the little things we overlook that come back to bite us... wink

it is said that altenators go bad easly on our cars because they dont have the fan blades on the pully there is just an internal fan on the alt. so they get hot and burn up.... but like i said earlyer if you hooked up a multi meter... to see if there was a draw on the battery then you could see maybe there is something that is putting stress on it .... because in my auto class we have a ford explorer that if you charge the battery and a 2 or 3 days later if we dont start it there is a draw on the battery so what we did is we kept the multi meter on the leads of the battery with the car turned off and then one by one we pulled fuses for things inside of the car and then we finly found out what the problem was. ....

but hope there is nothen major wrong with the car. best of luck to you

i cant remember off of the top of my head.... but we also did the same thing with a old old pontiac like a late early 80's and on that there was a node in the alt that was bad and that let current run back through the charging system... that mixed with a bad battery..... but with the explorer i think that there was a short in a circut somewhere... but first things to check are things that run hot all of the time like a cig lighter and glove box light.... and then go from there
