I FINALLY found the U-bend yesterday while working on Colleen, and am convinced that I will be getting this done. Problem with doing it is:

What do I do about keeping the O2 sensor? I am NOT interested in deleting the rear O2 sensor at all.

Did those of you who did keep the rear sensor just mount it off to the side?

What does it take to make a sensor mount in a custom pipe like that?

I remember reading someone doing this, but my searches turned up nothing. Thanks for your patience and advice, yall.

You can get the U-bend delete, and keep the rear O2 sensor; both pfyc and ZZP sell them. (click with rear o2)

easy as that? Sweet. I thought I would be doing a lot of fabrication. Thanks for the quick reply.

You're welcome! I'd also recommend picking up a new rear o2 sensor, to keep the gremlins at bay...

Dude at the shop just welded mine in or something. Never had a problem. Knock, knock. I guess I should take a gander look and see what he did.

My exhaust guy also just welded the O2 bung into the side of the pipe. Works perfect and no reason to pay $40+

Yes, a decent shop can fabricate the whole piece. Theres a standard O2 bung and it can be mounted to the side. Just not quite as protected as GM's greeeat engineers made the stock u-bend setup.
