Yikes. My TOGs have been good to me so far. Impressive getting that piece out together! Hope the front seals back up nicely once the other piece is welded.

I love my TOGS. If they leaked then I'd buy new donuts before I had them welded.

I love my pacesetters.
There is not one perfect brand of header for this car. It seems difficult to understand that TOGS leak too. Pacesetters do to, but for much cheaper

A new donut gasket wouldnt have just fixed that? Thats allot of RTV, would look allot better after welded, but hopefully it will meet up right after welding...

i was going to get my leaks welded when i was home in rhode island visiting family, but no one would do it for me because i have no cat, and they didnt want to get caught and fined, so im going to wait till i get to mississippi to get it done because they dont have emissions testing

Well these TOGS are freakin old. Plus the hard metal donuts suck. I couldn't find the right donuts or I lucked out. The guy today said he couldn't weld it because the metal donut is pot metal. I was like, wtf. If it were me I would of figured some way to weld it. So now I just got some quik steel and wrapped that around and let it harden. Then I got some more RTV a coated that around it. If that doesn't hold, the exhaust guy gave me some donuts that are plyable. I just didn't want to take the damn thing apart and try to tighten those bolts up again, real PITA by yourself many of times.

If it hasn't been done before, it's Official! One can take out the crossover and rear manifold in one piece, take it to a shop, and have it welded (well it didn't get welded unfortunately, stupid story) and install it back in the car in one piece. No tricks necessary! I've had issues with these damn togs since I got them. Well I had a leak near cross and rear hook up. I had some rtv on top, that held, but I couldn't get a good bead around it. So I took it to out in one piece to have my exhaust man weld that shut. Well hours later, I pick it up and it looks the same. He told me he couldn't weld it because the donut was pot metal and that doesn't accept a weld. I was like wtf. If I could weld, it would of been welded in some way, shape, or form. So I took some quik steel to it and then a coat of rtv around it and then some silver spray paint. I will see in the morning how this shit holds up! The first 8 pics on this link is the process: Pics link

Kinda, and it was holding to the pot metal donut. I think it should be ok. If not, just another round of fun you know!

that is alot of rtv!! and it is amazing how you got it out like that, must have been a pita, getting in and out like that, i had a rough time just getting the cross over alone on, i too have leaks, dont know where yet, im more than sure its at the y where the cross over and rear header go, i cant wait to get it sealed, it sound crappy but over all i grew on the sound of the exhaust with the heades now, besides being able to hear my valvse ticking away because of the leak, if i can find some one that will weld it it will be great but havent yet because no one will work on it cause it has no cat....dang it
