i attempted the throttle body gasket mod on the zzp site free mod: improving throttle body airflow when i started to loosen the nuts, oil started seeping out, i quickly tightened the nuts back up. when i removed the intake tube and opened the butterfly, i didn't see any oil. does anybody know what oil was coming out and if it is a problem?

You can't, but there isn't much there to begin with so it shouldn't be a big deal.
And Herc, you're correct...

you can plug the hole with jb weld, or zzp used to sell some plugs for it.
Youre going to spill a very small amount. dont worry about it

Are you sure it heats the TB for emissions? I thought it was to prevent icing/sticking of the butterfly in cold climates.

I got the rash of PRJ, it is to heat the tb up in colder climates, keep the blade from sticking!
My last time I put my tb back on, I just used rtv because my gasket wasn't the right one for my N* tb, so I just used RTV and it holds fine. This way you won't have to worry about the gasket causing flow restriction. My coolant lines are plugged also.

I plugged mine. I forget what size though...
Basically we vaccumed out all the coolant, then tapped the two coolant passages. We used a vaccuum to get out all the shavings.
Then, you can put brass plugs in there to seal it up. Worked great for me.

on 20gtp02's gtp we/i used an epoxi to fill the coolent passages. and then runing a North Star TB there is no longer coolent in this area...
yes most modern TB's have coolent that flows into it to keep ice from forming on or around the TB blade.if i was up north i would leave it. but down here its not an issue.

Don't do anything major cleaning on the supercharger rotos. Maybe a little wipe down, but don't mess up the coating.
