a guy at the local monroe shop told me instead of buying the u bend delete and having him weld it in, he would make me a whole down pipe. i was looking into the down pipes from zzp and with the options i want it came out to like double what this guy wants...$80 installed.

and he said he could even put in the o2 bung.

so what do you guys think??

I bet it isn't stainless piping.
But that sounds good, plus he can get probably a nicer flow being custom. I would do it if I knew the guy or he was in my area.

i thought about the 304 stainless but i wouldnt bother getting that for the down pipe that you never see. id go 304 or ceramic for the headers tho.

keeping the res. do you guys think it'll be insanely loud of just louder. i dont mind loud but i dont want something that i cant even talk over

I would say maybe keep the resonator in, considering your borla system. Once you get headers is where your exhaust may go down the tubes, no pun intended. Since you have aft muffs, I would keep the res in, you can always cut it off, and replace with pipe. Sure that guy do it for like $30.

when you did your DP, was there a huge difference?
i see you have the 3", i would go with the 2.5" catless to keep the bottom end and i would assume it would be a little quieter than the 3"

Sorry to cut in but YES. It made a noticeable difference. I got the exhaust work done in one shot and let's just say, the GP went faster quicker. devilgrin

Yah, there is a difference. It does make it a tad louder, not much. Go with the 2.5 if you don't plan to mod it much more.

When I got TOGs, I already had ZZPs 304 stainless 3" high flow cat dp installed. So I drove with the dp disconnected to the shop. I had the guy rework my dp to fit the togs. Low and behold he stole my cat, I didn't find out till later. Well I called him on it and he said I thought you wanted it for performance. I said alright whatever, cause he always charges cheap, but made like money off my cat anyways.
So he fabbed up my dp into something new. It has a really nice flow design to it now. He moved the flex joint to another location.
