What mods need to be done to run a 3.6 pulley or 3.5 pulley?
I dont have any way to scan for kr.
What's the cheapest scanner i could get?
I just done want to risk damaging my car.

All I have done so far is a cold air intake, but im planning on a 3" downpipe soon.
Do i really need to get some new plugs or a colder t-stat at this point?

I havent had the car very long but mostly what ive done so far is appearance mods.
Id get a sd or f1 hood, but theres no way in hell im dropping 1/6 the price of my car on a hood.

So... What should i do next?

Id post some pictures up... but i still dont even know how.

Let me know what you guys think.

Downpipe is a couple hundred dollars.

A 180 t-stat is like... $10 at a local parts store.

Colder plugs shoudl run you maybe $12.

Grab a ported front manifold or power log and you are good for a 3.4" pulley.

Definately a 3" DP, and yes one heat range cooler plugs will help as well as a drilled 180 tstat. If you take a gander at the FAQ thread at the top of the page there are some others listed. But with the DP and CAI and the plugs and tstat you "should" be able to run a 3.5 with no issues. As for something to scan for KR about the cheapest way is with the Aeroforce interceptor(?) guage. It's a bit pricey but iirc the only other way is with a tuner and those are quite a bit more.

You can scan for knock with Alex Peper's obdii vehicle explorer http://www.obd-2.com/ for quite a bit less than the interceptor, but interceptor is very nice. wink

I dont know anything about wiring the intercepter up, in fact, i know nothing about gauges at all. I would like a pod with gauges but dont know anything about them. Also dont know how to install them.

From your first post, it seems you want to be cheap about modding for a smaller pulley. The fact is, many said it before, when you mod don't cheap out, or you can spend more in the end. Learn from those that have gone through the steps.
The recommended mods are listed everywhere for smaller pullies. Some get away with less and others need more, to fight kr. And if you aren't scanning for kr somehow, then you are hurting your motor, especially power enrichment-WOT.
Wiring the gauge is really really easy, hardest part is hiding wires, really.
I think the aeroforce gauge is awesome, has soo many parameters to scan, cool little guy. You can also thing to it, has two inputs. Read up about them. http://www.aeroforcetech.com/

So you already did a ubend delete?

Interceptor is easy. It plugs right into the OBDII port under the dash.

I keep forgetting about the Alex Peper and I believe that also plugs into the OBDII port.
