I couldn't remove the lock out of trunk when I was thinking trying swap the lock from my own key. Since it won't remove but they have wire connect. I wonder all the wire are same to open the trunk by car remote? I never use key to open them. I always use remote if to avoid change the trunk lock.

I have 2000 daytona 500 trunk lid with spoiler to replace my winter beater trunk. This one is best looking I ever seen. Thank god for same color so I don't need to paint it.

The remote should work the same for both cars. To remove the lock you need to drill out the rivet on the inside of the trunk lid right in back of the lip. Then remove the C-clip and pull the lock out.

Dang it. I don't have drill. Or other way.... I can get other key from dealer for VIN # to avoid all of this work. I still have that # on trunk lid. Of course you know every car have sticker vin on trunk lid.

Actually, this is winter beater car that I put Daytona trunk lid with spoiler on it. My summer car have SD wing. I already installed it. It went very well. The remote thing is work. I actually like grand prix silver color match my paint. If my summer car have one then I will leave it alone for sure. Look sweet! Now, I have two cool spoilers lol

Easy write up

take damn trunk off

take look both trunk lid with spoilers. hard to decide which one I want to keep? lol

Final result. Just easy job for 4 bolts on them without any problem. Oh remove old wire from old trunk lid then plug other wire on from other trunk lid.

Also, I grab one carpet cover at Morad's place for my summer car during car show. This one is much cleaner than mine.

haha i knew youd get a kick out of that...idk if i said it here or on another forum but i actually did want the daytona spoiler instead of the sd spoiler because i like how it looks but i didnt want to drill new holes into the trunk and have the other holes patched up and have the whol trunk repainted. but yes that was my first choice...lol if i could i would sell this spoiler(MAYBE) for $250 than go and buy the slp gen II but i dont want to pay for my trunk to be re-fabbed...lol
