So i pull into the gas station to get some gas, and the kid i sold my red GT to is sitting there getting gas. The car looked like crap, i coulda cried, he beat the shit out of it and it is probly one of the worste shape gp's ive seen, the bumpers that i painted white were all peeling and basicly gone, the mufflers were falling off and sounded like crap even tho they were aftermarket magnaflows i installed, the tips were GONE, the passenger side mirror was gone, the dash that i painted white was gone, just the steering wheel was basicly there, no dash trim, the cd deck looked broken, the hood had a huge dent in it, the clear corners were trashed, the headlights were trashed, the windshield had a huge crack in it, the tinted tail lights were cracked, there was a hole in the front bumper, the front plate cover was gone, the car was just looking like crap, word of advice, if you ever sell a car, make sure you wont ever see it again.

That's really sad, reminds me of some of the nice used cars that we sold to some of our customers...most would be trashed in less than six months.

Easy on the profanity. Its a good thing you didn't go up to the kid and talked to him.

I know what you mean. When I sold my Mustang 5.0 convertible a year ago, I purposely ran off lots of high school kids and young men. I ended up selling it to a 35 or so yr old business man who knows nothing about cars, and could barely drive the 5-speed. Little did I know. I saw it a few times this summer. Once at Jiffy Lube. OMFG! Looks like the car has not been washed or polished since I did it before I sold it. It had a pink license plate holder, and a pink steering wheel cover. The car was white with a black top and black racing stripes. I wanted to gag.

That's why you sever all emotions to a car when you sell it.

+1 Ya i mean you need to in some ways but its pretty much impossible because as a car guy, the car means everything to you.

If it means everything to you then why sell it?

because you may need to pay it off so you are not in debt anymore, cant afford it(but really want to), there are plenty reasons why you would have to get rid of something that means everything to you.

sometimes there is no choice in the matter. I have never sold a car, as ive only owned the GP and my miata, but i know the car payments and college are getting to me. The Miata will be easier to get rid of, but i still become attached to them
