Ok so after seeing such high IAT temps after installing my HAI I decided on getting rid of the old ('98) overflow tank that is right in front of the filter. I know I'm going to need a box too but this is all I'm doing at the moment.

So I was just wondering how hard of a switch is it to the '99+ tank? And what does the new tank bolt down to, cuz I just looked under the hood and the 2 bolts that are already there are too far for the 99 tank to reach. So do you have to drill your own holes to mount it?

It looks like after that all you have to do is just re-route the hose and such to the new location. Does that sound right?

Thanks.

When I swapped mine All I did was put a couple of screws in the top of the strut tower. Iirc there's some bolt holes up there just use some chassis screws. For the bottom there is a hole already and I just used one of those plastic christmas tree push clips in and it worked. I can't remember if the hole was empty or if I had to pull a retaining clip out that holds a wire harness. If you get a new bottle it should come with a formed hose that is supposed to keep it away from the pulleys. You'll want to find some way to hold it away. I thought the formed bends would be good but after awhile some how the hose moved and I ended up with a hole in it.
