I did a search because I remembered reading something about the floor being soaked, but only found info on the passenger side, so I don't think the solutions would necessarily apply to my situation. My passenger side is dry as a bone, but when I went out this morning (It poured last night), my floor on the driver's side was completely wet. What would cause this? Could it be something as simple as weather stripping, or is it the molding or what? Anyone else have a problem with water on the driver's side?

If you have a sunroof, one or more drains may be clogged, if not check for worn door seals or outer window seals. I've read of water coming through the bottom of the driver's door panel and onto the floor, instead of running out the lower door drains.

its probably the door weather stripping.

Check that the rounded part on the door sil sits flush when the door is closed.
Also make sure that the painted edge isnt dirty.

GM maybe? A good local body shop should be able to hook you up as well.

I don't feel like starting a new thread... what about passenger rear floor only getting soaked? Rest of the car is fine. Could sunroof be leaking in that area? Nothing visibly wrong with headliner, no drips I see, etc.

Well, went through a roll of paper towels trying to soak it up, still tons of water. frown Had a previous dexcool spill there, so continuing to pull that up with the rain water. NASTY stuff...

Window is dry, ceiling is dry, there seemed to be a little more water surrounding the rear passenger door seals than the rest of the doors, but seals seem intact and there was no obvious moistness to indicate where a leak might be. Wettest spot seems to be where the front seat rail attaches to the chassis. Wetness covers rear passenger floorboard, no where else. Stops before the hump in the center, and before the front passenger floorboard.

My rear drivers side door leaks into the seating area. I discovered it's coming from water getting past the window trim, and the plastic liner behind the interior door panel not being sealed.
I cleaned the seal on the liner up and tried to get it re-seal but it's still leaking. I think it's going to take a new bead of sealant to get it stop leaking into the cabin.
