Anyways, I have the motor out and was going to put the LSx yellow valve springs on. Well in trying to do so the LSx springs would not fit over the valve seat on the head, they just will not sit flush, the inner diameter of the spring will not fit over the valve seat. After searching I found that these LSx springs will not fit on some 97 heads. Anyone heard of this or run into this problem before? Here is the website that I found. It's the 5th post on that page.

Any ideas other than machinging the heads or exchanging them for different springs?

That's correct the LSX springs do'nt fit on some 97's but it's an easy fix with a die grinder .Chico(pops)

Do you mean die grind the inside of the springs?

What if I take too much off?

How do I die grind the inside, it's a fairly small spring?
