well i finally tried installing my slp rear wing and i am having problems lining up the studs with the deck holes. i tried everything the only thing i can see that can be done is enlarge the holes in the hood. any one have had issues with this? any ideas? thanks everyone

yes, my SLP Gen 2 spoiler did not fit properly. I took it to a shop and had them install the spoiler along with repainting the whole trunk lid. With my spoiler, I only had 2 holes line up correctly, the rest were made wider and he used a waterproof putty to plug up the bottom side of the holes underneath the trunklid.

Sadly enough, the "TRUE" SLP spoilers that are sold on 3800performance.com are the actual "knockoffs" that everyone was buying for extremely cheap from the 3rd party sites.

So where can one get a real SLP wing?

I enlarged two of the holes on my trunk to get the SLP spoiler on. It was not difficult to do at home.

I dont know i got a SLP GEN 1 from 3800performance and the spoiler fitted perfectly.
Knockoff spoilers not only dont fit in holes they are not even with a trunk..So please dont trash a website if you dont have the facts (ask Palsut about knockoff VS real one.He has pics.)

Silicone the bottom of the spoiler around where the stock holes are to keep water out and to help stick the spoiler on and then use self tapping screws.

I brought knockoff spoiler from wooddashexpert.com which they are now call carid.com. All I remember it was mentioned real spoiler was from 3800performance few years ago.

I bought mine from 300performance and its a genuine SLP item. I still have the paper work for it. Til this day I believe they only sell genuine SLP spoilers. Its common that some holes will not line up correctly. Every car is a bit different. I remember palsut posting pics of the knock off which had horrible fitment.

gee, why dont you ask me if i have the facts before assuming that I dont. I bought mine straight from 3800performance.com and mine does not fit worth crap....

I agree 100% with Guz, it is very common for some spoilers to not fit 100% with your trunk. I was a part of that percentile(which i do not know atm), some will fit MUCH better than mine, at least i hope so...lol
