Well I just got my bonus check from work and I have a good chunk of change to spend. I'm thinking some 105 springs to compliment my 1.9 rockers waiting to be installed. Some members on here have told me just to run the stock springs, but I'd rather play it safe and upgrade them.. I've heard horror stories about Comp 105 springs so I think I will stay away from them. What are some other reliable brands and where can I purchase them?

Or maybe I should just get the LS6 springs? Would they be better for my application? I don't ever plan on going cammed unless I need a new motor.

That was only one batch of comp springs. Personally I use crow cam springs and manly retainers.
The 105's will be good for higher shift points.

I've got Comp Cam 105's with an ST2 cam and no issues yet.
I would go with the yellow 90# springs, the LS6 ones you mention. They are stronger and more reliable and more than enough for what you need.. I would have used them but they don't fit 97 heads.

I say go with the LS6 springs they work great I have used them in my last 2 builds and never a problem ,as far as using them with 97 heads it 's hit or miss but nothing a few minutes with a die grinder can't cure.Chico(pops)

I ended up ordering Crow 105 springs. I researched across different forums and they seemed to be the best overall choice. The price wasn't bad either.

They are deff worth the extra couple bucks.
With the manley retainers my 130#'s max out at 720" lift which I will never go near lol even with stock retainers they still go .640" lift.
ZZP really under rates crow's products because they are comp bias idc what anyone says.

If you're not changing out the stock cam, I don't see the point in stiffer springs. There's not much power to be had beyond stock shift points w/ stock cam, and you're increasing wear.
