I decided to make a new intake from aluminum and air duct insulator. From a non-scientific approach it seems to be working. After driving/idle the filter seems to be much cooler than previous trash can idea.

Here are some pics of the intake and just a few other pics..

Nice man, definately looks a heck of a lot better than a trash can in there.

3.8 MPS? Thought you were running a 3.6?

How did the tuning go with Zalfrin? What kind of KR values?

Looks good. If only those stock cross braces looked better.

Lots of KR with the 3.6 but we still need to get fueling in line. We swapped on my MPS and that took forEVER.

That car has next to no mods. It shouldn't have any pulley drops.

I'm with ordonez on that one. I think exhaust flow needs to be addressed before you even dream about upping the boost with a pulley.

The tips look sharp! and the intake blends in under the hood well.

Got together with Ben again yesterday to do some more tuning, got KR with the 3.8 down to 1-2 degrees. Vast improvement. Putting the 3.6 on is probably not advisable without headers, as others have said.

I will be waiting on headers, however I hope to continue to get it tuned so I can reduce knock as much as possible.
