I'm sure its been asked a thousand times on here, but I'm having trouble getting the last spark plug out of my GTP motor. The one directly in front of the sensor for the exhaust on the side closest to the firewall. The other 5 were pretty easy. Anyone have any tricks???

is it the center cylinder or the one closest to the brake master cylinder? either way, other than a 3/8" ratchet with 4-6" extension, there's nothing "easy" to it. Other than appreciating that you don't have a 4th Gen F-Body, there's nothing to it but to do it. Sorry, dude, it's a PITA job.

Agreed. That 6th one is the tough one.

its the one closest to the master cylinder. I just wondered if there was a trick to not breaking anything. There's like 3/4 in. room where the boot comes off. After its off I think I will have room.

Did you rock the motor forward? If not do that should make things easier.

I'm new to this so bare with me please. Do I remove the front two upper motor mounts to rock the motor forward? Is there a trick to it? Do I place a floor jack under the motor?

Remove the two upper (or dog bone) mounts. Then get a ratchet strap and hook on end near one of the motor mounts on the car, and the other on the upper radiator support. Pull it tight and ratchet away. That should give you a good few inches back there to help out.

If you don't already have one, a swivel spark plug socket is a ton of help in cases like this. The bad thing is, the only good ones I know of are either snap on or matco...$$$

Remove the bolt from the dog bones. Rock the engine forward until you can slide the bolt back in the dog bone and into the "extra" hole on the mount. This will hold the engine in place and give you enough room to get to the spark plug.
You can see the extra hole on the mount in the pic above.

Hope this helps.
