I have an 03 GTP i was wiring sub today and noticed a yellow wire going through the firewall grommet for the shifter cable. What is this wire i pulled a little too hard and ripped it out of whatever it connects to inside the car. my buddy as an 01 GTp and it does not have this yellow wire. the wire has its own wire loom and goes straight to the ecu in airbox. Any help would be great i want to get this repaired asap

Sounds like maybe it's been added to enable performance shift? I don't think it was available as an option in the 2003, but pretty easy to add it.

it wasnt in the 2001-2003 i do believe 2000 was the last year i think
