Stock is .060" for factory setup. We reduce gap on pulley drops to prevent blow out.

alright guys are you ready for this i pulled out the front plugs and the compressions were about 168 168 175 and all of the plugs had a bit of buildup but nothing big and look what i found on the middle one also i gapped them to .060 but they were pretty tight at 60 so if not like 58 or 59.
this was the middle plug

no input on this thanks but i posted a long time ago asking about oil being burnt and i had cardboard under it for 4 days and never found a drop. plus this plug wasnt dirty other then what it shows so it was somewhat clean i also pulled all of the rear ones and have yet to do a compression test on the back side but all of the plugs are out and they all look good so idk what would be causing loss of oil i am soo lost

Gaskets that are leaking on to the subframe or even manifolds and being burnt could be causing it and you wouldn't see any dripped onto the ground.

As for that spark plug, you may have a chipped piston that smashed that strap on the plug and later went out the exhaust. Lots of people have chipped pistons in their car and don't know any different. I wouldn't be too worried about it if your car still runs well. Or it could be something completely different, who knows.

Must have been arcing off the side of the strap.

Have you ever tried sidegapping your plugs?

ExtraCheeze: I haven't seen you here before, welcome! Could you please describe sidegapping to me? I haven't heard that term before.

Well, you cut back the length of electrode arm with a cut off wheel on a die grinder or they can be carefully filed short enough to see the entire center electrode when viewed straight on. I measured with calipers to the back of the electrode and removed an average of .080" of length from the arm of each plug, but you can just eyeball it. It is IMPERATIVE not to touch or scratch the center electrode, so I make a mark across the electrode arm with a marker so I can wrap the plug with masking tape and put the tape a couple three layers over the center electrode, to protect it. After shortening, remove any burrs and make nice sharp cornered flat end on the electrode arm with a fine file , then you gap them to .050" at the closest point. This procedure makes a noticeable difference in throttle response, Or I just think it does 'cause it takes a little patience to get them just right.

Sounds like too much work for too little gain.

Might be effective to a degree, but it seems about as much fun as indexing spark plugs.
