How much smaller is the new pulley from stock?

If you don't have the supporting mods for a smaller pulley, you will get knock retard and end up damaging your engine in the long run.

The stock pulley is a 3.8 in pulley. The pulley I bought is a 3.4 in pulley. I was told if I went smaller than that I would start to run into some problems but should be ok with the 3.4 in. Let me know...thanks

Check in the 97-03 Forum, there is a sticky topic which I believe it's called "97-03 FAQ". It has a list of recommended things to help compensate for the smaller pulley. Not all of those will necessarily be required, but like Arcxnus said, you run the risk of damaging your engine.

You will need to scan the car after you put pulley on to check the KR. KR should be 0
