Does anyone have cold start piston slap (rattle). Then it goes away when its warm.

Chances are it is the lifters... often mistaken for piston slap.

Yes my 04 Grand Prix did that. My 06 Grand prix SC does that. My moms monte carlo does it (3100) and our old cutlass did it(3100) probably nothing to worry about. I have owned a few GM FWD cars with 6 bangers and its common.
